Rhys is undertaking this challenge in support of the Bone Cancer Research Trust.

The challenge Rhys is undertaking will see him cover roughly 370 miles by foot and on bike during the summer of 2020. Walking the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks as well as walking across Brecon Beacons from the Rhondda Valleys and finally scaling Snowdon, to finish, hopefully with a Penderyn at the top!! The cycling will be the means by which he will link all the walking routes together, covering approximately 240 miles on road and cycle tracks.

His father, Howell Phillips, who many of you will know and has formerly coached the club, was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer in November 2016, his prognosis, was 9-18 months. We are very grateful to say that he is still with us and fighting this awful and cruel disease every step of the way. With a stubborn and strong willed approach Howell has surpassed all expectations, has tried every treatment offered to him and has taken every set back in his stride and has been nothing short of inspirational in how he has dealt with what life has chosen to throw it him.

Some may wonder why his challenge is called the 'Triple H', quite simply Howell's three homes have been the beloved Rhondda, Plymouth and his spiritual home The Snowdonia National Park.

Please help Rhys to achieve his target by making a donation. Please follow the link below.
