The RFU have approached OPM Rugby to organise Walking Rugby Sessions. The club have gladly accepted this opportunity.

The Committee believe that this is a great way to attract a wider range of people to enjoy our great game.

The Grand Launch will be on Tuesday 17 March at 2.30 at KIng George V Playing Fields, Haye Road, Elburton  where a game of Walking Rugby will be available.

At this session there will also be a Health andWellbeing social group where people can have a social chat, a cup of tea and a biscuit/cake or a group walk designed to gradually improve their fitness.  A Friday evening session will start in April – Date TBC.

Walking Rugby is a slower, non-contact version of the game, and is particularly suited to retired players, those recovering from injury and illness, and anyone wishing to stay fit and active. It’s like Touch Rugby but without the running, and is suitable for all genders.

If you, or anyone else you know, thinks they would like to find out more about Walking Rugby at OPM please contact Dave Glastonbury on 07905 447323 or daveglastonbury@hotmail.co.uk.

If you are intending to attend the grand launch please let Dave know for catering purposes.

We look forward to receiving your expressions of interest and any feedback you can give.
