We are delighted to announce that following numerous interviews last week for the Head Coach role, we have appointed Andrew Williams into the position. Andrew has significant experience in rugby, having played for Plymouth Albion and several other clubs, coached many teams at a variety of levels and most recently rugby teams in the Middle East. Being an RFU Level 2 and Strength & Conditioning Level 4 qualified coach, his experience and skills will provide an excellent foundation for the club.
We were impressed with Andrew's ideas and plans with regards to training, game play and coaching as well as his enthusiasm and knowledge for the game which he would like to bring to OPMs. He is certainly looking to provide development and feedback for all players, meet with as many as he can in the next few weeks (players meeting date TBC) and ensure that we are a highly competitive side in preparation for our new journey into Devon A as we look to push on from our 4th placed finish in Devon One.
I am sure you will join us in welcoming Andrew to the club and supporting him both on and off the field going forward. He will be at training on Thursday 14th July to meet the players, coaching and support team and introduce himself to all.
We look forward to seeing you all there in support and to what next season holds for the Club.
